This Friday morning, February 3, from 8:30-to-9:45am, the Sierra Club, along with MICAH (Memphis Interfaith Coalition for Action and Hope), and MATA will host an online discussion about transit in Memphis and Shelby County- focused on transit equity, service quality, and need for further expansion of dedicated funding strategies.

February 4 is Rosa Parks’ birthday, and her contributions to transit equity are honored via Transit Equity Day events in many cities across the country. This will be the fourth year that we have a Transit Equity Day event in Memphis.

The theme for this year’s event is repeated from last year- “Better Transit for a Better Memphis”.
