Although the Memphis MSA is lagging in its rate of growth (#246), it’s worth remembering that it still has the 47th largest Gross Domestic Product (GDP) of all MSAs at $69.9 million.

Meanwhile, our GDP is larger than 11 states: New Hampshire, Delaware, Idaho, North Dakota, Alaska, Maine, Rhodes Island, South Dakota, Wyoming, Montana, and Vermont.

And it’s larger than the GDP of Sudan, Dominican Republic, Luxembourg, Kenya, Uzbekistan, Guatemala, Macau, Uruguay, Croatia, Bulgaria, Costa Rica, Ethiopia, Slovenia, Lebanon, Lithuania, Tanzania, Tunisia, Panama, Serbia, Ghana, and Yemen.
