Puh-leese. If we've learned anything about Republicans, it is that as soon as they get power, they pass their own stupid legislation, and if you don't think it erodes our personal liberties and creates rightwing tyranny, you're not paying attention.

Fortunately, redistricting will soon make Democrats functionally obsolete in Tennessee. This will increase the likelihood of the passage of more such common sense legislation in support of individual liberty and in resistance to tyranny.

I can see special school districts from my porch!

This is not just partially the voters' fault. It is entirely the voters' fault. We get what we pay for, so to speak, and we are the ones who allowed people like Kelsey to win a seat first in the House, now the Senate. We are the people who don't turn out for local primaries and elect folks like Chris Thomas, or Marsha Blackburn, as a result. When we vote the same types of people into office time after time we will continue to get the same results, time after time.

Ever hear of the" Guns and Butter Theory" it's in economics 101.
Guess why.
One of the oldest industries, well heeled.
If you want government to change I have a method:
Have all the people who work in Public service patted down for weapons EVERY day before they enter their office buildings.
When they get tired of feeling naked at work without their pistols, they'll change the law to let them pack, then you will have to be permitted to pack in their buildings because them packing creates an unlawful condition in public service, graft enforced openly at gunpoint.
You have to have recourse, a gun.
THEN government won't be looking down the end of it's disgruntled nose, it will be in fear of public sentiment since it doesn't seem to care about being informed by it.

Poof, Voila! Government changed and yet, still lots of guns around.

I've had to buy and use mine since I moved here more than once.
I'm pro gun now, but, only because I have to be.
